How To Setup Your ConnectSense Device With Alexa

If you have an Alexa enabled device, you will add the ConnectSense Smart Home Skill just like you would for other devices.

  1. Make sure you have already setup your Smart Outlet or In Wall Outlet and created a ConnectSense account
  2. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone then click on Skills & Games.
  3. Search for “ConnectSense” and then Click on “ConnectSense”
  4. Click Enable Skill
  5. Sign into your ConnectSense Account
  6. Close the page
  7. Click on Smart Home from the Menu
  8. Click Add Device (Alexa will then discover your Smart Outlet or In Wall Outlet)

    I'd like to use this with the ConnectSense Rebooter.  So the Skill will work even if Alexa is just on the WAN with the CS, and doesn't have access to the internet?

    No, it would not work.

    But some customers like to use an AI assistant, to reboot instead of doing it manually on the app (I always at midnight tell google to reset my "Interwebs" since that's what I named my rebooter), or even use it in an alternative way, not on the modem or router.

    We've had some customers set it up on their credit card reader at their business for some reason.
